Two of my childhood friends are getting married [to each other] this month! And we’re throwing the bride-to-be her bridal shower this Saturday. Theme? Believe it or not: STAR WARS.
I am in charge of party decorations. I didn’t want to put up anything printed, so my siblings and I decided to stagger through the first day of the year making our own Star Wars paper art! Here are a few shots from today’s mini “workshop” in my room:
I OBVIOUSLY had a difficult time drawing Darth Vader’s face. Ha ha! That’s attempt 1 (left side, embarrasingly) and finally attempt 20-something (right side) that looked somewhat acceptable lol.
This is my sister’s part of the work station. She worked on putting Princess Leia together. My brother on the other hand handled drawing the rest: Storm Trooper, Yoda, and even C-3PO!
My favorite part is making R2-D2! It was laborious, cutting, punching, and piecing them together. But he’s so cute every time we get to complete one that we know the efforts were worth it. Hah!
These are what we created and we intend to put these on the tables or walls. We’ll see which will work out best.
